Job Description

Job Summary:

The Director Care Excellence leads the development and implementation of policies, procedures and strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Organizes operations to provide high quality, cost effective services. Models leadership and teaming excellence by providing appropriate advice and counsel to staff to improve effectiveness.

  • Develops and implements policies and procedures that support the delivery of services to meet all productivity plans.

  • Coordinates and integrates services to meet contractual requirements. Conducts ongoing assessments, maintains quality control programs, and improves departmental operations.

  • Directs staff. Manages departmental turnover while maintaining high employee and patient satisfaction.

  • Provides master-level project management, facilitation and direction to collaboratives and teams formed to support clinical initiatives. Develops project work plans, identifies deliverables, creates project timelines and milestones, and monitors progress.

  • Assists in identifying and evaluating best practices, both internal and external. Utilizes existing venues to foster information sharing and spread and adoption.

  • Assesses external environment for events, activities, processes, products that have potential to impact care delivery. Prepares appropriate reports for leadership and dissemination to clinical leaders as appropriate.

  • Provides planning assistance and staffs/leads meetings and training events, such as the Clinical Leadership Forum, High Reliability training, and clinically-focused education.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Level Degree.

  • Advanced degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Seven years of progressively responsible experience with two years of leadership experience required.
