Job Description

Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the National Director of Finance, PACE, this position will be responsible for business office and general accounting duties related to the PACE Center of Expertise (PCOE). The PCOE supports the finance and business office aspects of Ascension Senior Living PACE programs nationwide.


  • Provide customer service support for PACE claims processing

  • Receive and process claims and payment status inquiries from PACE vendors

  • Utilize the PCOE claims processing software

  • Daily interface with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reporting systems

  • Preparation and submission of daily reports to fulfill CMS regulatory requirements

  • Monthly submission of risk adjustment and encounter data to CMS, states, and other external vendors

  • Assistance with Medicare Part D data submission and reporting

  • Assist in processing PACE enrollments and dis-enrollments.

  • Preparation of private pay account statements for PACE

  • Assist in accounts receivable collections process

  • Bank deposits

  • Assistance with external audit data requests

  • Support month end and year end accounting close process

  • Ordering of office supplies and maintenance of inventory

  • Other duties as assigned



  • High School or equivalent required

  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required Associate's/Techical Degree preferred

Work Experience:

  • Two years of technical experience preferred

  • Customer service skills and experience

  • Skills and/or experience in business office activities.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and computer applications.

  • 1 to 3 years accounts receivable, insurance billing/verification, and/or business office experience is preferred.
