Job Description

The Aquatic Instructor develops and provides swim instruction programs for various populations.

Responsibilities:

Develops swim instruction programs for various patient populations.

Instructs individuals or groups in swimming and aquatic activities.

Monitors pool area for safety violations and persons in distress and responds appropriately.

Assists therapists and fitness staff as needed with patient transfers, stabilization and assistance in and out of the pools.

Evaluate participant’s progress and make recommendations for their continued advancement.

Ensure proper coverage for classes.

Qualifications:

Required Credential(s):

Certification specializing in Lifeguard obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.

Minimum 2 years experience as a lifeguard and one year aquatic teaching experience is required.

Additional Job Details:

PRN. Rotating. Evenings and Saturdays.
