Job Description

Job Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Manager provides daily operational oversight and leadership for revenue cycle activities and resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.

  • Interfaces with outside consultants including contract negotiations and third party billing.

  • Assists with development, monitoring and compliance of departmental budget(s).

  • Manages revenue valuation quarterly reviews performed by auditors. Develops revenue valuation recommendations for management.

  • Produces reports measuring financial and operational performance including, but not limited to cash collections, unbilled, denials, volume trends, contract yield, evaluation of predictive models with actual results, financial performance analysis, benchmarking and trend analysis.

  • Sets and adheres to project budgets and timelines. Provides frequent status updates, reports, and project summaries to administration and supervisors whose departments are influenced by projects.

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Preferred Credential(s):

  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

  • Finger Printing.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or combination of High School degree and related experience required

  • Master's degree in a related field preferred

Work Experience:

  • 3 Years Required Technical Experience.

  • 5 Years Preferred Technical Experience.

  • 1 Year Required Leadership/Mgmt Experience.

  • 5 Years Preferred Leadership/Mgmt Experience

  • Management experience preferred• Ability to lead department members, elicit cooperation from, and work in a cooperative manner with fellow professionals and associates.• Develop high performing team through motivation skills, mentoring and leading by example.• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.• Skilled in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines• Knowledge of payers ’processes and terminology.• Ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and learn and retain new or evolving information and procedures• Ability to work in a team environment• Strong Practice Management System skills
