The Lead Payroll Tax Associate leads day-to-day activities for specific payroll, garnishment, and payroll tax administration for the organization's ministries.
Ensures all payroll processing activities are completed in accordance with published schedule, such that associates are paid on time, deductions are applied appropriately, and the organization's accounts can be closed for financial reporting. Develops, implements, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures necessary to support operations.
Manages all special payroll, garnishments and tax reporting requirements consistent with time and budget requirements.
Reports on service level agreement metrics and key performance indicators for payroll, garnishments and tax processing. Maximizes effectiveness and efficiency of payroll processing to ensure delivery of business results in compliance with contractual service level agreements.
Resolves escalated or complex associate payroll issues that require managerial intervention and coordinates, as needed with other process areas. Uses reporting tools to gain operational insight to identify and manage problems and propose resolutions. Develops and trains teams to provide exceptional customer service.
Monitors regulatory environment to stay abreast of internal and regulatory compliance requirements, as well as industry standard payroll preparation and time reporting, policy, procedures and metrics. Makes recommendations for process improvement, regulatory compliance policy, plan and process modifications, implementing approved changes.
High School Education or equivalent required.
Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field, or combination of High School degree and related experience preferred.
1 Year Required Technical Experience.
3 Years Preferred Technical Experience.
2 Years Preferred Leadership/Mgmt Experience.
