Job Description

Job Summary:

The Rehabilitation Services (Manager) manages the daily operations of rehabilitative services.


  • Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

  • Assesses quality of patient care and coordinates services with patients and healthcare providers.

  • Manages staff relations and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.

  • Oversees departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations.

  • Collaborates with the Director of Rehab Services for the development of a strategic business plan for Rehab Services, which is integrated with the organization's strategic plan and assures all department operations are in compliance with JCAHO standards and other applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies.

  • Develops, submits and administers capital, operations and manpower budgets according to financial and organization guidelines. Utilizes financial reports, eCare reports and internal data to determine if goals are being met and adjusts operations to support positive budgetary outcomes. Reports financial performance to various groups on a regular basis.

  • Establishes polices and procedures, treatment guidelines, protocols and clinical competencies ensuring staff members are able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient as described in the policies and procedures.

  • Plans, coordinates and manages the daily operations of Rehabilitation Services. This includes, but is not limited to inpatient, outpatient and pediatric therapies and other related activities. Includes services provided by Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. May include Social Work, Referral Coordinators and Mid Level Providers services as directed.



  • Required Credential(s):

  • One or more of the following:

  • Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.

  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech/Language Pathologist required.


  • Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy, physical therapy or speech/language pathology required

  • Master's level degree in occupational therapy, physical therapy or speech/language pathology preferred

Work Experience:

  • Minimum five years of clinical experience. Preferred three or more years of clinical supervisory experience, including the following: program development, marketing, relationship building with physicians, senior management and peers. Evidence of progressive responsibilities.
