The Food Svc Retail Aide provides prepackaged food and beverages for purchase by patients, guests and staff.
Provides food and beverage items as ordered. May receive payments for goods. May operate cash register and order supplies.
Determines inventory needs and orders food service products.
May balance register after shift.
Maintains clean and orderly work area.
Works all stations, shifts in cafeteria, coffee bar and other assignments in department as required including ensuring set up, stocked, food maintained at correct temperature during service and storage.
Transports food appropriately, dates and labels all prepared food for storage cleans and sanitizes work stations; keeps temperature and cleaning logs; and reports any issues/concerns to the supervisor.
Follows department and regulatory standards including hair covering, wearing of gloves, dress code, etc.
Other Duties as assigned
Education & Work Experience:
HS or Equivalent
Must be customer friendly
Ability to do simple mathematics
Knowledge of working cash register a plus
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently required
Customer service experience is preferred.
Cash handling is a bonus.
Retail service experience a plus.
