The Director of Payor Relations & Contract manages proposed managed care agreements and fee schedules.
Analyzes all proposed managed care contracts and associated documents.
Analyzes proposed fee schedules, negotiates financial terms and contract language of managed care contracts.
Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives for managed care associates.
Assists in the development of a five year strategic plan for all insurance and value based initiatives across ministries. Monitors strategic plan for key milestones and works with Managed Care Regional Leads to ensure initiatives are met within specific timeliness.
Projects and manages contracting initiatives and works with Managed Care Regional Leads to ensure goals and objectives are met.
Engages in negotiations to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner.
Assists in the maintenance and development of strategy and financial reporting requirements, as needed.
Assists in developing presentation materials for internal and external meetings. This involves developing content for managed care strategies and major project initiatives.
Conducts ongoing assessment and investigation of managed care payments and operational issues.
Communicates results of information gathered, trends, concepts and processes to facilitate education, problem resolution and operational improvement.
Responsible for educating ministries on the impact of changes in reimbursement methodology imposed by commercial payers and governmental agencies.
Supports the development of population health opportunities and alternative reimbursement models.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or healthcare.
- Five (5) years demonstrated experience and success in contract negotiation and administration is required.
